Day Pass vs Monthly Pass: When Each One Pays Off
If you only need a workspace 6–8 days a month, the math is rarely in favour of a monthly pass. Here's the breakeven analysis.

For freelancers, consultants and remote-first employees on hybrid teams, the choice between day passes and a monthly coworking pass is a quiet but consequential decision. Let's run the numbers.
The math
A day pass at a quality Bengaluru / Mumbai / Delhi coworking space typically costs ₹400–₹600. A monthly coworking pass at the same space is ₹6,000–₹9,000.
The breakeven is usually 12–15 days per month. If you work from a coworking space fewer than 12 days, day passes are cheaper. If you're there 15+ days, monthly always wins.
What changes the math
- Meeting rooms — monthly passes usually include a few free hours. Day-pass users pay per-hour.
- Locker / storage — only available to monthly members.
- Multi-city access — premium passes (WeWork All Access etc.) let you hop between cities.
The hidden cost of cheap day passes
The lowest day-pass rates often come with caveats: shared open desks only, no meeting-room allowance, weekday-only access. Read the fine print.
Our rule of thumb
If you genuinely don't know how many days you'll use it, start with day passes. After 6 weeks of usage, count your visits. If you're at 12+ days/month, switch to monthly. If you're below, stay on day passes.
